Gary Pupa Sr., President
Founder and president, was born in Newark, New Jersey. A business entrepreneur, started several different businesses by the age of 25. Gary established Competitive Aluminum in 1971 within the same week of his marriage to Carol Pupa. During the mid 80’s the company grew to a workforce of eighty five employees. The leading recession in the late 80’s, forced the company to scale back and concentrate on residential remodeling which is the true backbone of the company now.

Gary Pupa Jr., Vice President
Gary and Carol’s second child, accompanied his father on job related errands at the early age of twelve. Gary Jr. learned the business from the bottom up and has really made an impact on the company’s growth. Gary Jr. is now the Vice President and Sales Manager but is also very involved in every aspect of the job as a carpenter and project manager. With 14 years of experience, Gary Jr. brings a pro-active and motivated attitude towards every job.

Rob Bailey, Sales Manager
Gary and Carol’s son-in-law, joined Competitive in 1998. Rob joined the family business with a strong sales background and a strong motivation to learn the business. Rob quickly grew a reputation of being trustworthy and a great communicator and is now Competitive’s Sales Manager. Rob also is involved in every aspect of the project as a carpenter and project manager.

Kristin Pupa-Vetsey, Office Manger
Gary and Carol’s youngest child started her involvement in the business by assisting in the office by answering phones. Nine years later, Gary molded Kristin into the true backbone of the office administration, handling jobs such as underwriting, bill paying and scheduling jobs

Mike Sr., Carpenter/Siding Mechanic
Mike started with Competitive in 1987, with over 20 years of experience he is one of the truly respected team members. His vast experience serving as a lead carpenter, siding mechanic and mason naturally led him to be an experienced project manager. He is a natural problem solver admired by all at Competitive for his integrity and work ethic

Mike Jr., Carpenter Apprentice
Mike has been with the company since 2006 and comes from a strong background in construction. He is currently serving a full apprenticeship in the siding and carpentry trades. Whether it's assisting Mike Sr. with siding or assisting the carpenters, you'll find him to be very personable and a true team player

Javier, Carpenter
Javy is a 4th generation carpenter and has been with the company since 2005. He is a true professional from framing, tile, sheetrock, masonry to finish carpentry. He can assist any crew in any project very efficiently. He is a true "Jack of all trades" and a rare find!

Ron, Assistant Carpenter
Ron is Javy's son, he is currently serving a full apprenticeship in the masonry and carpentry trades with Competitive. Ron started in 2009 and he assists all carpenters to assure their jobs are running seamlessly.

Izzi, Siding Mechanic
Izzi is a unique professional siding mechanic. He has been with Competitive since 2005. He is the first one on the job and the last one to leave, and he performs his job with a smile

Yaro, Siding Mechanic
Yaro has vinyl sided over 650 houses for Competitive and brings a strong Eastern European work ethic to every job. He has been a loyal worker since 2004 and has a diverse construction background. He is always concerned about the quality and finished product for each and every job and he does it seamlessly. He is also a great communicator and a pleasant to be around.

Thomas, Siding Mechanic
Thomas is Yaro's nephew and has been serving his apprenticeship in the summers since 2005. He is a ball of energy and works feverously at his uncle’s footsteps

Vitaly, Siding Mechanic
Vitaly also works on Yaro's siding crew and has a great understanding on all aspects of the job. He has been with the company since 2006 and also brings his strong Eastern European work ethic to every job. You will never see him sitting!

Paul, Siding Mechanic
Paul is a very meticulous and diligent worker. He has been with Competitive since 2005 and has also vinyl sided over 650 houses for the company. Paul has a keen eye for accuracy and a super hard worker

Roberto, Roofing Mechanic
Roberto alongside Gary Sr. head up Competitive’s roofing department. He has been with the company since 2005. Roberto and his crew of six, work feverishly to complete a spectacular job, day-in and day-out. Their work and clean up is impeccable!

Billy has been the company’s tile installer since 2002. He is a great communicator and takes great pride in every job.
